About the role

You will be part of a team responsible for the management and communication of Compassion Australia’s brand and are committed to developing experiences that invite audiences into a deeper understanding of poverty and the mission of Compassion. We believe in the immense power of creativity to inspire, move and connect people in universal ways. This position reports to the Art Team Lead.

The successful applicant’s core responsibilities will be:

• Providing end-to-end design services across a wide range of projects. 
• Maintaining Compassion Australia’s brand internally and externally. 
• Translating art direction into content for use across campaigns and experiences. 
• Working closely with the art director, designers, writers and film makers through the creative process and development of experiences. 
• Executing across print experiences (direct mail, events, signage, promotion). 
• Executing across digital experiences (website, blogs, EDMs, social media). 
• Providing consultation to internal stakeholders on the development of creative solutions. 
• Liaising with external production companies, design studios and other third-party suppliers.
• Creating and managing brand resources to equip internal teams in their work.

What You Bring to the Team

• Industry Expertise – 3+ years of experience in a similar role, either in a creative agency or an in-house creative team.
• Education & Knowledge – A Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communication, Design, or a related field.
• Brand & Creative Mastery – Strong experience in brand management, creative execution, and delivering high-quality designs.
• Sharp Eye for Detail – You don’t just meet expectations, you exceed them with precision and excellence.
• Strategic & Conceptual Thinker – You see the bigger picture and craft solutions that drive results.
• Communication & Time Management Pro – You’re organized, efficient, and great at collaborating with teams.
• Creative & Innovative – You bring fresh ideas to the table and know how to turn concepts into compelling visuals.
• Tech-Savvy Designer – Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• UI/UX Enthusiast – Strong understanding of digital experiences with proficiency in Figma.
• Versatile Skill Set – Experience in both digital and print design, with expertise in print production processes.
• Environmental Design Know-How – Ability to design for physical spaces and experiences.
