The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, this role is responsible for:
- Delivering compassionate and high-quality pastoral care to residents and their families.
- Overseeing and coordinating the provision of spiritual care services.
- Offering support and guidance to staff across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide a listening ear and emotional support to residents and their families, especially during times of personal challenge.
- Deliver pastoral care and guidance that empowers residents to explore goals, grow in their spiritual journey, and face life’s challenges.
- Support staff in their interactions with residents and offer additional assistance to individuals who may be harder to reach.
- Foster relationships with local churches, Christian organisations, and other community groups to enhance support for residents.
- Participate in local church and community events and contribute to communication efforts with church and community partners.
- Handle administrative tasks including documentation, reporting, referrals, and goal planning to support effective service delivery.
What You Bring
- Formal qualifications in chaplaincy or pastoral care (or currently undertaking training)
- At least 2 years’ experience in providing pastoral care.
- Experience in an aged care or community care setting (highly regarded)
- Strong alignment with our values of Excellence, Respect, Compassion, Integrity, and Stewardship.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and listening skills.
- A current driver’s licence.
- Valid police check.
